Studied at the Boston University School of Fine Arts.  His art career was put on hold when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving aboard fleet ballistic submarines.  During his final years in the Navy he began painting again. His works have been accepted in regional juried exhibitions that include galleries in Mystic, Niantic, and Hartford, and Norwich.
