Joyce Harvey lives, works, plays and paints in Charleston SC and Noank CT. An avid sailor-her favorite times are spent boating lowcountry marshes and summer sailing in New England- the inspiration for many of her paintings. Her art today reflects a lifelong love of the sea. She specializes in expressive small paintings in a variety of styles and mediums created with both palette knife and brush. Joyce is currently represented in five galleries in Charleston, Mystic CT and Martha’s Vineyard. 

Joyce’s newest art adventures are taking her around the world on luxury cruise ships as an Artist-in-Resident for Oceania Cruises and painting instructor on select Cunard cruises including the Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth. Her paintings have been used on the television sets of HBO’s Righteous Gemstones and Netflix’s Outer Banks. 

Joyce worked for more than 25 years in television having always enjoyed the challenge of visually telling stories. This included eight years as an anchor, reporter, producer for CNN, and time at The Weather Channel along with numerous independent productions.
