Richard grew up in Breezy Point, New York.  He is a self-taught artist and did a great deal of sketching when he was younger.  A local artist inspired him to try watercolors.  He later switched to oils and after retiring, relocated to Ledyard CT.   Richard enjoys painting marine subjects and landscapes.  He is a member of The Lyme Art Association and The American Society of Marine Artists.
